Fairylight
I can't believe I already finished the fairy drawing I started yesterday morning, haven't been this dedicated to a drawing in a while. I must say I used most of the day drawing so I guess it explains a bit :)
The drawing is done with graphite pencils and powdered graphite (which I plan to experiment more with the future) on Winsor&Newton smooth surface paper, 40x60cm(16x22").
All in all I loved drawing this, gave me a bit of motivation :)

I'm so glad to hear you're so motivated. =) Wish I was too.
At first I was bothered to see the wings are so ''heavy'' outlined...but combined with the fragile and gently drawn face on one side and the heavier outline on the other... It's all in balance!
Do I need to say that I love it? The shading is amazing!
I am afraid you are not the only one who will feel that way... because I had the same thoughts to begin with but as I was drawing the wings I felt it needed a bit clearer outline for the wings not to melt into the sky. The heavy outline was the last thing I did on the drawing and to me it completed it :) I am glad you found it in balance after the first thought cause that is indeed important :)
Thanks much, always makes me happy to read your comments.
her hair and the expression on her face are utterly gorgeous. i really like the faint stars in the sky, too. fabulous as usual, zindy! :]
You are the best with hair I promise!! It always looks to soft and lifelike. And I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one to take long on a drawing. A detailed drawing can take me like two or three days, so I know what you mean when you say that its fast to finish it the next day haha.
Awesome ending!
Thank you Kassy, I am glad you do :)
Aw, thank you Pierre, glad you think so... I think in this drawing it does look very soft against the cloudy sky.
Thank you Jenea, did you receive the bookmark yet?
