Aw... Lost is really coming to an end

Today I realized that Lost is actually ending. It's not that I just found out but I don't think I really realized it till today. It's sad. It has been one of my favorite shows for years and I think it will be just like parting with a really good long book or something familiar who has been with your for years.

I've loved lost from the very beginning, just something about it from the very first episode. While in progressed into something very mysterious and weird you just needed to have an open mind along the way. What I really love is how all characters goes through this personality change and you get sympathy for people you didn't have before. For me it was the episode Dr. Linus who really changed my opinion on Ben forever. After I did a drawing of him it also made me see something pretty in him while he is not my favorite guy. I really loved Everybody loves Hugo, as I felt so bad for Hurley when Libby was shoot in the earlier seasons.

I really am going to miss Lost ♥

Here's a few of my drawings I have done of the actors through the years:

And I draw...

I don't know but lately I've had so much I needed to get out, I can't seem to stop. At night I have all these ideas in my head and a long list has already been formed. I probably won't get around doing even half of them.

The past days I've been working on a conceptual piece. I really enjoy working on it, it's like therapy to me and I hope it will show in the end what it means to me. It's very much in the lines of my work from a few years back.

My niece is a little artist

Not only is my little niece the cutest girl ever but she also might be artistic :)
She drew a spider for me a few weekends back when they were here for a visit, she's 3 and a half by the way. I definitely am going to encourage her as she gets older, it would be nice to have another artist in the family :)

Oh and it just snowed here!! What is up with that :0

Melancholic Star Child

An older drawing I finally got up. My favorite little model, Debbie did a photo shoot for me and I went from the original idea of an Autumn theme to a darker girly version.

Just my luck + Bound by your love

Just my luck to first have a flue last week and then on top of that 4 days with a really bad cold. However, things are finally a bit better, such a relief. Tomorrow I need to go to the doctor and have another blood exam for the heart thing. Hopefully she will have good news soon about the result. At least I hope my D-vitamin level is normally now, it better be!

My latest sketch drawing, something simple and fading. Made with color pencils, pastels and graphite pencil.

I've missed blogging and am happy to be back!:)

Bubble Dreams

Last night I felt like cuteness was coming and I felt like using my colour pencils a bit. I used a reference for the pose but clothing, hair, ears, bobbles and the rest is my imagination. I basically just needed the right posture for her.

I really had much fun drawing her, what can I say, I love cute things and pink. I have a little fascination with cosplay. The girl isn't any specific character though in case you wonder.

It's a rather small drawing, a little under 8x11".
I used colour pencils and soft pastels.

What made my day!;)

Well, I just had my sis and niece for a visit and we went shopping in the Toy store. I kind of have this thing where I have to press every possible toy who makes sounds. There were this cow sounding really horrible but the video was kind of bad so you have to settle for the purple dog ;) This is also my excuse to try the video function out in blogger, hope it works :)

Something I need to finish

I have been working on this one in what seems to be forever, so many hours went into it. I really am so far with it and I just feel stuck now, it's like I can't get myself to finish the last part, which is really stupid since I am so far already and I really loved working on it. Motivate me please!:)

Blood Red Midnight

I just finished the last lines of my rather quick sketchy drawing of a vampire. Been a while since I did one and since Debbie, one of my favourite models to use at the moment posted her latest photo shoot ( See reference here - near the bottom of the thread) I had to do something with it. It doesn't look completely like her as she has green eyes, brown hair and cute freckles but it was fun to do this different dark version of her. I decided to give it the red background but fade the hair a bit out at the bottom of the drawing still.
Created with my Derwent and Faber Castell soft pastels.

Vampire WIP

So, I've been working on a quick little drawing the past hours. My migraines are having a little break so I better take advantage of it. I still need to decide for the title and background colour, I think I will go with red or maybe I should just fade it out in the white?

Migraine but it's spring!

It's been quite a while since I updated my blog. Lately have been mostly headaches and migraines for me, it's been crazy. The past 2 days have been really bad in particular - I just want them to end already :/
I did draw a bit whenever I could, on my latest fantasy realistic girl. It took me several days to complete. It's a different version of a regular photo I took of my friend last year. I think it has a kind of glow about it, a mix of dark and light, which I am always fond of. Hair took me forever, same with the face shading and expression. Actually most of it took a long time.
It's done with charcoal; my all time favourite medium. I hope you are all great and enjoying the early spring, I can't wait to =)
