I am still a bit absent at my blog, which you can tell if you are still visiting. My life been kind of up and down for a while and I find it hard to find the time and inspiration to really blog with thought.
Summer finally arrived here late July and with that came the headaches I summer from through out mid summer. It's been pretty bad this year for me and I've spend most days with a headache unfortunately. It is why I look forward to Autumn and already am in the Autumn mood.

Changes, guess an actor and give-away break

I recently made some changes in my life (see previous post). I've decided to start focussing more on what I truly love and have a passion for - which is my art, photography, my dear friends and most of all my family. Sometimes you can lose complete focus of what you really want and care about and as a result you don't do things whole hearted anymore and the passion slowly dies. This year I've worked hard on getting back to what I love the most and to become complete again. I think I am slowly getting there and I am feeling positive about the future.
I will also be doing a lot more blogging in the future, especially doing the summer which I have a feeling will be really good this year. I hope I am able to do more tutorials and little videos of me drawing as well.
I recently got an all new tripod - my very first - and I plan to start doing more photoshoots, with myself in front of the camera as well. I already have the clothing ready for the first shoot and can't wait to get started in a few weeks when I return back home.
Here's a little sneak peak on my corset.

As you know I started the monthly give away to a follower/commenter earlier this year. I have decided to take a little break from it over the summer. I am not excactly sure how my summer will turn out and I would like to start fresh when Autumn comes and I hopefully will be back into the blogger-rutine.
You are of course still more than welcome to comment as I always love to read your thoughts.
In the end I would like to show you my latest portrait in the making. It's been a lot of fun drawing him, can you recognize him?

My weekend was spend enjoying the weather. Saturday was filled with rain and Sunday with lots of sunshine and warmth. This is excactly why I love spring in Denmark, it's this constant switch between refreshing rain and sunny days without being too hot to breath. I wish we could have just spring and autumn and skip the inbetween.
Past 3 weeks have been a bit stressful for me as I had many projects I needed to complete with very close deadlines. They all ended in success and it was such a relief afterwards.
I had a few days off and will now begin on new commission work this week. Starting out with a cute dog and a few single portraits.
I am still working on my tutorials area on my website and hope to have new content ready soon, I know some of you are a bit impatient to see more.
I'm also in the middle of planning travelling a bit this Summer/Autumn. I can't wait to finally visit another country again and see a bit of the world, it will be very exciting.
I will talk to you soon.

I've been neglecting my blog very badly lately. I recently got so caught up in my Twitter it's become my "daily blog".
A lot of things are happening at the moment and I find my time limited to do in depth blog posts as I used to. I will try and get back to it though and be more active :)
I just spend a wonderful week with my friend from Germany, Joane. It was super nice to see her in real life and we obviously did a lot of drawing as she's an artist as well.

I've been working on a new dark snow white past week and a lot of hours has gone into it so far. She's created with charcoal, markers and colour pencils.
I recently started to do A sketch a day on Twitter and I find it very interesting and good for me to do some loser sketching instead of full projects.
You can follow them all on my Twitter and I will try and post some of them here as well.
This is my sketch for the day:

I'm spending the Easter days with my family and it's been great. Today we had sunshine. Went to the beach I grew up nearby with my boyfriend, the weather was beautiful and definitely made the ocean appear just beautiful.
First time of the year jumping on my brothers huge trampoline so I predict a sore body tomorrow :)
Look at the cutie dog Balloo, there is no cuter dog than him, I wish he was mine. I'll be doing a portrait of him later this year as I got such great shots of him with my lovely new iPhone. I can't believe I actually have a phone that works now.
Hope you are having a lovely Easter with you family.
Take care.

A little break

Tomorrow I am leaving my boyfriend for 1 and half week. It will be hard I think but I am also looking forward to a little break at my parents place. I haven't seen them since Christmas and it will so nice to just be there for a while. I've missed them lots lately. It's always such a joy to leave the city and be surrounded by nature, all the kitties, dogs, my wonderful Mom and dad and baby brother. He just got his driving license, I am so proud of him. He turned 18 last summer and he's turning out to be such a great person in so many ways. While the age different is big I still feel we get along so well and got the same sense of humour, which is really important. I will pretty much goof around, have a lots of walks with my Mom and who know, maybe my brother will teach me some driving!;)
It's been some busy weeks, lots of projects I needed to get done, most of which I can't tell much about yet. I look forward getting some fresh air and break the daily routine for a bit.
I will also visit my sister and little niece, which should be fun too.
Have fun and thanks for the support always ♥

I am leaving tomorrow for my parents again. It's only been 14 days since I returned home from my last visit. I hope to spend a few great weeks enjoying the early Autumn there. I really look forward to it, especially to revisit the trampoline :)
I recently did a few gift drawings.
Baby feet for a lovely customer I had, of her little baby girl. It was fun to do a bit of a different motive:

Both drawings are done with charcoal and measures 11x8" (A4)

My birthday and more

I've just celebrated my 32nd birthday on the 18th. I had a truly wonderful day with lots of fun. I decided to go visit Tivoli, a world famous family amusement park in the middle of Copenhagen. We always go there each October for the yearly Halloween show. It's a fantastic place as it's very beautiful, filled with flowers and a great atmosphere. This time we actually tried the roller coasters and I loved it. Been 6 years since I last did that and now I wonder why :)
I loved this one in particular, as I love fish... and it was meant for kids so very Zindy-friendly.
My love gave me the best birthday present, a set of Luminance colour pencils. Those are my absolute favourite pencils but I haven't been able to afford but a few singles since they arrived in the Creas art shop. I was obviously thrilled. He also did a cute little drawing card for me, which I love just as much.
Oh he also bought a little strawberry cake, I love strawberries so it was very sweet.
We had dinner at Tivoli at night and it wasn't bad either. Ralf took a few photos of me meanwhile(the one at the top).
Awesome day really, not too bad to get older as long as you have fun.
Today we went shopping new ink and paper and I found a speaker set I could afford (and was my taste design wise) so now I finally have sound on my computer.
And at the very end I am very very close to completing my Autumn Walk. Spend another 8 hours on the forest yesterday and happy to say I only need to complete the top left corner at this point.

Sunlight!?

This morning something strange happened. I was pulling the curtains aside and in came light and sun! Unbelievable. I was beginning to think we'd have no more sun this year! I'm hoping at least we get less rain in a few day when I am celebrating my birthday, just because it's a little easier to look pretty with no raincoat.
I've just finished a tattoo drawing for a beautiful customer of mine. It's been a long project as I couldn't capture what I wanted and had to start over a couple of times. I am really happy it's completed.
Today I am going to work more on my Autumn Walk drawing, I need to finish her real soon for the 2012 fantasy calendar. I have to say the Autumn forest has been a real challenge. Mostly because it feels like you keep drawing on the same area and very little happens. Nevertheless it's a true joy to do this drawing. I've gotten great response on her already (Thank you ♥) and it certainly keeps me going.
Here's a final preview before the end result.
Drawing, pencil mess and café latte.

My socks

A lot of you have been asking what kind of socks I wear... nah, not really but I thought I would show you anyway ;) I love knee socks, I probably have 40 pairs or so. Today I bought 2 new pairs with stripes. I love the thicker ones for winter time and in this apartment I am going to need them. Last winter it was so cold here as the doors aren't well isolated, as well as the windows. I am going to need many socks and sweaters if we don't manage to fix the doors this year. At least that's my excuse whenever I buy new ones.
While I generally don't enjoy shopping clothes that much, I do love socks :)
When visiting my parents I bought a couple of new mugs. I love the vintage and sweet style of them, and of course it was the heart which did it in the end ♥
The bag is created by my mom, I love it very much, the black butterfly is a perfect touch to it. My mom is so good with these things, I wish she still drew too.
